La Casa De Pedro

Erica had a girls’ night out last Wednesday with Tonya (fellow Backupify wife from Louisville).

Tonya and I got together a few week’s ago and went to a Thai restaurant (9 Tastes) but I didn’t take any pictures, sorry 😥

After work, I took the bus to Harvard Square and then took another bus out of Cambridge a little bit. I met her at their house and she drove us to Watertown.

We went La Casa De Pedro. It was delicious. It was Venezuelan and Latin cuisine.

Here’s what we had:
Empanadas- Corn dough filled with chicken, beef, cheese or black bean & cheese. She got beef or chicken (can’t remember- but in front) and I got bean & cheese- in back)

I had: Camarones al Ajillo- Shrimp sautéed with garlic, cilantro, and olive oil

We both had: Arepas- Grilled corn cakes, Venezuela’s everyday bread, filled with “Carne mechada” – Shredded beef:

She got: Ceviche- Shrimp marinated in fresh lime juice, onions, diced tomatoes and cilantro

We had an awesome dinner- great food, conversation, and service!

After dinner, we went to Target. I picked up some things for the apartment and also a few groceries!
