deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum

After leaving the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in Concord, we went a few miles away to the deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum in Lincoln.

The museum has several floors of exhibits that rotate and then outside, they have sculptures. We did the inside first and saw photographs and also an exhibit by Rachel Perry Welty. I liked several of her works- especially the price tag art, bread tie art, and cataloging exhibit.

There was also an area for the kids to play on beanbags that looked like they were covered in grass.

Outside, we tried to figure out if there was a specific pathway to take. We pushed Miss M up and down big hills!

Here was one of my favorites:

The back of the museum faced a lake, but for a while, we just thought there was a lot of snow left.

The Double Hearts were also a favorite:

    • Great idea! It was only in the 50s when we were there, but there was a couple having a picnic on a blanket. Miss M (who just turned 3) knew that it was a called a picnic and said we should do that next time. What a doll!
