It is a replica of the 17th century ship Mayflower that carried the pilgrims from England.
The replica was built in 1955-56 and it did sail across the Atlantic Ocean in 1957.
We learned that the original Mayflower was built for cargo and not for transporting people, so makeshift living quarters were probably made.
The Mayflower made one trip to New England in 1620 and returned the following spring. The legend is that after the captain died in 1624, they don’t know what happened to the Mayflower.
