Cape Elizabeth, Maine

After spending the afternoon in Freeport, Maine and the early evening in Portland, Maine – we drove a few miles away (after stopping at Wendy’s for chocolate frosties- it’s funny how you remember little things like that) to Fort Williams Park in Cape Elizabeth.

This was my first lighthouse.

We walked along a path away from the light house to get a better view of it – and then the path just ended – at the cliff – yikes!!

Looking at the map, we saw another set of lighthouses just a few minutes away….

  1. There’s something about lighthouses – romantic etc And you think of pirates and storms and what the keepers had to go through. Seems like it might be a lonley life.
