Brunch at Common Ground Allston

Last Sunday, the Boston Brunchers were invited to Common Ground in Allston.

I had heard of Common Ground before, but thought of it as more of a restaurant and bar. I was excited to try it out. It was a short bus ride from Harvard Square.

They invited us to the buffet ($9.99) and brought a few other dishes to try.

Here was the buffet line-up:

Here’s the Chocolate Muffins:

My favorites were the corned beef hash (first time having it), the sausage, and the muffin!

They also served bloody marys, but that’s not my thing:

They brought out another one of my favorites of the day: bananas foster french toast.

Common Ground was just figured in this week’s Globe.

Another great brunch with the Boston Brunchers!

Note: This meal was provided to me free from Common Ground, but all of the opinions expressed here are mine.

  1. The chocolate muffins looked great-but were they chocolate chip muffins? I love bananas but I’vd never tried cooked bananas. However, that French Toast looked GRAND!!! Hope you ate it!! I loved the chef coming out to explain about his food. In fact, I’d LOVE to eat there sometime!!
You go to the best restaurants!!!!!
    lots of hugs,

  2. Everything looked really good. Isn’t it great to try out different new places? Thanks for sharing. I loved it. Hugs
