Good morning or is it afternoon?
Ha, our hours at the house are all messed up with a newborn. Sometimes I have no clue what time it is. Everything revolves around when the baby last ate and how much time we have until the next feeding.
She is eating every 2.5 to 4 hours. We’re probably closer to the 3.5 – 4 hour end right now as she’s 3.5 weeks old. But it depends on how well she ate in the previous session.
Breastfeeding has been a little more difficult than I thought, although I heard it could be tricky and challenging so I am not that surprised. Most of the time she latches great. Sometimes she asks like she is super hungry and sometimes falls asleep. We try to wake her up by burping, undressing/dressing, and diaper changes.
When we left the hospital, we were tracking feedings and diapers with pencil and paper but after a few days, we tried out an app called Baby Care and we have been using it for almost 3 weeks now. It’s a free app for Android and it has served its purpose. You can also see trends.
Here is a chart during June for the time of the day when she has been feed.
