Last Friday, we met each other near Harvard Square. It was a 12-15 minute walk from our apartment and a bus ride from Ben’s office. We walked around a little bit, visited a bookstore, and used our iPhones to find a restaurant.
We walked down Church Street to find Border Cafe, a Tex-Mex and Cajun restaurant. It was packed!
The wait was only 15 minutes. When our buzzer went off, they gave us a piece of paper with our name, number in party, and some other number- and told us to walk down the stairs. There was another level to the huge restaurant.
It took a few minutes for our waiter to come, but they brought out salsa and their drink glasses were huge.
Our orders were taken and it seemed like 5 minutes later, our food was brought out.
Erica got the Corn and Black Bean Empanadas. It consisted of four flaky handmade pastries stuffed with seasoned corn, black beans, peppers, cilantro, and Monterey Jack cheese, served with roasted red pepper sauce:
Benjamin got the chicken burro with rice and beans:
The food was good and the service was good too! Definitely a place to go back to and bring visitors!

That definitely looks like a winner!! I love Mexican too. Thank you for letting us know how far away these places are from your apt (and work too)
Take care, and know we’re thinking about you.
lots of hugs,

wow – the servings were huge. Yum.
I keep meaning to ask – does the Y have a running track?
Only 29 days till spring. Hugs, Aunt Patsy

The Y has a small track above the boxing ring. It looks old and I haven’t tried it. It takes 31 loops to go a mile. I think I might get dizzy, especially looking down at the boxing ring, but I may have to give it a try if all the treadmills are full!

food really looks great. sounds like you are really having a ball. I wonder if Donna and Dean have returned from Florida yet. She hasn’t written for quite a while. They usually stay about a month. Soon as I hear from them I will tell them you all are there.
Love you,mim
